Sean Nekeld Davidson's Obituary
Sean Nekeld Davidson, 50, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in a local hospital. He was a 1991 graduate of Brainerd High School and attended UT Knoxville. Sean was a member of Pierce Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Kappa Chi Chapter. Sean served in the United States Air Force for 8 years where he received several awards and recognition for his exemplary work ethic. He maintained this same work ethic throughout this career where he was employed with Precision Machining Services for 22 years as the Supply Chain Manager. Sean loved football and choose it to mentor youth while stationed in Alaska and later in Chattanooga with Inner-City Youth Association. He carried his love for football and our youth to Ooltewah High School and Red Bank High School where he was a phenomenal defensive football coach. Just like his impact on his athletes was unmatched, so was his devotion to his family, friends, and his community. He was always willing and able to help whenever needed and was a person who was easy to talk to that never met a stranger. Sean will be missed by many both near and far like his mother who he had a special relationship with and will forever hold a special place in her heart. Sean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Josephine Davidson, Sr. and Lon Ed and Minnie Mitchell. Survivors include his loving wife, Chrystal Morris Davidson; sons, Taj (Caitlin) Davidson of Murfreesboro, TN and DeSean Davidson of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Chloe’ Davidson, Cali Davidson, Tristan Davidson, and Chyla Davidson of Murfreesboro; loving and devoted father and mother, George and Melinda Davidson; father-and mother-in-love, David and Mary Morris; sisters-in-love, Glynis Morris Smith and Davida (Christopher) Hardaway; uncles, Oliver (Mary) Baker, Anthony Brown, and Charlie (Deborah) Davidson; aunts, Mary Ann (Thaddeus) Morton, Dorothy (Charles) Moore, Hattie Mae Auls, Patricia Russell, Yvonne Maxwell, Priscilla Jones, and Joyce Alexander; faithful friends, Dale Morse, Marcus Dangler, Stephen Johnson, Rodney Earvin, and the coaching staff at Red Bank High School and Ooltewah High School; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
