Sandra Evonne Sims' Obituary
Sandra Evonne Sims, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in a local hospital. She was a 1972 graduate of Howard High School. Sandra was a member of New Sholar Baptist Church. She was very involved with the Chattanooga Association of Foster Grandparents. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sims; mother, Claudia Thrasher; father, Seymour Talley; sisters Joyce Vinson, Carolyn Thomas, and Vera Morris; and nephew, Leavon Thrasher. Survivors include her goddaughter/niece, Dr. LeAndrea (Gerald) Ware of Chattanooga; brothers, Williams Hudgins, James Anthony Talley, and Johnny Lee Thrasher, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Twanda (Robert) Walker, Melba (Jacques) Mack, Cliftina (Darryl) Jacks, Lorie (Michael) White, and Pam (Brian) Burton, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Betty Talley of Nashville, TN; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Elder Eddie Jacks will be the eulogist.
