Ruth Lee Smith's Obituary
Ruth Lee Smith, 95, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at her residence. She was a member of New City Fellowship and visited Calvary Church often. Ruth was involved in small group prayer meetings at her church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Lee Brown; father, Lee Brown; daughter, Brenda Jackson; sister, Helen Williams; brother, Willard Brown; and grandson, Henderson Grant, Jr. Survivors include granddaughters, LaTonia S. (Kevin Agard) Grant and Taffany T. Jackson; great-granddaughters, LaToya S. Henderson, Dianna L. Lomnick, and Ty’Asia Jackson; great-grandson, Tyrone Jackson; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends all of Chattanooga. Ruth will lie-in-state on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor Willie Kitchens giving words of comfort.
