Rosie Lee Lewis' Obituary
Rosie Lee Lewis was born December 6, 1947 to the late Robert Lee Paige and Sallie Mae Calhoun. She departed this earthly life on August 14, 2020 at Hospice of Chattanooga at the age of 72. She attended the school system in Meridian, Mississippi. Rosie was a member of Steven Temple CPCA Church. She was employed by ConAgra. Rosie was a social butterfly; her presence was felt when she entered the room and her voice was heard at the door. She was known and loved by so many. She was preceded in death by parents and sister, Teresa Hammond. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Anthony “Tony” Calhoun, Sr. of Chattanooga and James “Olandas” Calhoun, Sr. of Nashville, TN; daughters, Jennifer Lewis Pointer of Prattville, AL and Veronica Lewis of Nashville; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany Calhoun of Chattanooga, Toney Calhoun, Jr. of Atlanta, Alexis Calhoun of Chattanooga, James Calhoun, Jr. of Nashville, Roshunna Purvis, Ashley Watties, and Megan Lewis, all of Nashville, Darren “Dion” Pointer of Jacksonville, FL, Darreka Lewis of Chattanooga, Darrick Pointer of Montgomery, Precious Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN, Desmond (Brittany) Lewis of Nashville, and Jonathon Toney of Huntsville, Al; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Helen Calhoun of Moreno Valley, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Earnest Jefferson will serve as the eulogist.
