Rosie Ford Caldwell's Obituary
Rosie Ford Caldwell, 73, of Chattanooga, returned to the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, after living and transcending into Heavenly Peace in the place she made home. She graced the world with her presence on November 16, 1951, born to the late Christine Davis and Henry Ford in Ashville, Alabama where she was the oldest of five children. She was a proud graduate of Asheville High School, Class of 1968.
After 40 years of employment with Provident/Unum, and Cigna, Rosie retired. She made a host of lifelong friends during her life, who remained faithful up until her last hour.
Rosie attended the Church of the First Born under the leadership of Pastor Alfred Johnson, where she served the Lord faithfully and diligently. Christ enriched her life to the fullest and He took her home to be with him for eternity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Henry Ford; spouse, David “Skip” Caldwell Sr.; son, David Caldwell II; three brothers, Thomas Ford, Henry Lewis Ford, and Robert Earl Ford; sister, Flora Jane Ford.
She leaves to cherish her memories, loving son, Brian (Adria) Caldwell of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jeremiah of Rhode Island, Jace, Jordan and Kryslyn Caldwell, all of Georgia; aunt, Jimmie Young of Ashville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rosie will lie-in-state on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 9 a.m. at The Church of the First Born. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Alfred Johnson as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
