Mr. Roosevelt Watkins' Obituary
Roosevelt Watkins, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his residence. He was a graduate of Greene County Training School. He was employed with Wheland Foundry. Roosevelt was a member of Zion Brush Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia “CD” Watkins; parents, Hezekiah and Lucinda Watkins, Sr.; brother, Cleveland Watkins; sister, Eliza Chambers. Survivors include his son, Kelvin (Ligloria Ann) Watkins, Sr.; six grandchildren, all of Chattanooga; brothers, George (Ophelia) Watkins of Eutaw, AL. and Hezekiah Watkins, Jr. of Chattanooga; sisters, Gladys (Walter) Pritchett of Eutaw and Mary Walker of Chattanooga; aunts, Carrie Mobley and Savannah Cotton, both of Eutaw; special friends, Michael Wooten and Andy Patterson; a host of other relatives and friends. He will lie-in-state on Saturday, December 7, 2019 after 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 12 noon in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
