Ronnie Hughley's Obituary
Ronnie Dewayne Hughley, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his residence. He was a 1963 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Ronnie was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where he was the Chairman of the Deacon Board and served on the Finance Committee. He retired from Mueller Company after many years of service. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Hughley; parents, Raymond and Anna Hughley; brothers, Raymond Hughley, Baby Charles Hughley, and Gerry Hughley; and sisters, Delores Hughley, Joyce Hughley, and Betty Lawrence. Survivors include his daughters Edkedsha “KeeKee” (Marc) Mathis of Salisbury, NC and Tracy Hughley (Danny) Profitt of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Markala Mathis, Miracle Mathis, Kristian Hughley, and Zoey Profitt; devoted nephew, Maurice Hughley; brother-in-law, Reuben Lawrence; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Hughley; special friend, Celeste Woods; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Ronnie will lie-in-state on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Lansden as the eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
