Rodney Dewayne Taylor Sr.'s Obituary
Rodney Dewayne Taylor, Sr., 55, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in a Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia hospital. He attended Brainerd High School. Rodney was self-employed and owned Rodney Salvage Moving Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Orlando Taylor, Sr. and Elnora Winston Goines; grandfather, Percy Goines. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Kalei Taylor; sons, Rodney Taylor, Jr. of Chattanooga, Zachary Underwood of Knoxville, TN, and Dominick Taylor of LaFayette, GA; daughters, Tieta Taylor and Keyla Taylor, both of LaFayette, GA; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Carl Parks, Anthony Parks, Wesley Taylor, Jr., Bobby Goines, and Windell Jones, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Janet Blake, Liz Taylor, and Juliette Taylor, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Eloise Watkins of Chattanooga; uncles, James Elder and Jessy Elder, both of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Rodney will lie-in-state on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:30-5:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no service.
