Roderick Jerome Holloway, Jr., ‘Lil Rod’, 25, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on April 15, 1997 to Tasha L. Parks and Roderick J. Holloway, Sr. Roderick was a 2016 graduate of Brainerd High School. While attending Brainerd High School, Roderick was a star football athlete. He most recently resided in Knoxville, Tennessee where he was employed by Pepsi Cola. Roderick was a dedicated father and was loved by many. Everyone loved him for him. Those who know him always knew he had a soft heart, and his smile would brighten the whole room! He had a heart of gold. He was family oriented and always made sure his family was taken care of, no matter what. Roderick may be gone, but he will never be forgotten…He was preceded in death by his great- grandmothers, Barbara Jean Anderson, Willie V. Holloway, Venner Lou Allen, and Erma Ruth Choice. Survivors include one daughter, Ryleigh J. Holloway and an unborn son; stepdaughter, Zoie N. Hurst; mother, Tasha L. Parks; father, Roderick J. Holloway, Sr.; step-father, Kerry A. Parks; sisters, Keoshia L. Starling, Keanna V. Spivey, Kerriona A. Parks, and Yasmine M. Martin; brothers, Roshawn O. Holloway and Jaylon A. Parks; grandmothers, Cheryl E. Wright, Wanda J. Holland, and Frances E. Parks; grandfathers, Jerome Holloway and Langston E. Jackson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; special friend, Tiffany N. Beets and other friends. Elder Keith Jones, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
