Robin Andrea Christopher's Obituary
Robin Andrea Christopher, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, in a local hospital. She was born on December 19, 1961, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia to the late Anna Doris Christopher Rutledge. Robin was blessed to have had two men in her life to call daddy: Otis Christoper, Sr., and Robert Clark.
Robin was baptized at the Avondale Church of Christ at a young age and later placed her membership at the Alton Park Church of Christ in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She worked for several restaurants in New York City. Her last known job was as a cook at McCallie High School.
Robin was known and respected for her cooking ability. She often gave recipes to family members and friends. When a family member messed up a dish, they would call her for her extensive knowledge of how to fix it. She loved to eat soul food. Robin was known for her charitable acts of kindness and loved feeding the homeless. She was also a great caregiver; she loved people. Robin was truly a servant.
Robin was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Clark, Faye Wooten, and Veronica Thomas. Although Robin did not bear any children, she acted as a surrogate mother to many. She had many siblings who loved her including Denise (Ray) Strickland of Atlanta, GA, Veronica Thomas, Hope Clark of Nashville, TN, Cynthia Clark of Atlanta, GA, Otis Christopher Jr., Robert Stoudemire, Cynthia Christopher, Charles (Katrina) Clark, Willie Wooten, and Sue Moore, all of Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Neal Thomas; a host of nieces and nephews, including Carletta Christoper (Robert) Jarrett, Tonette (Kelvin) Pope, Donyale Watson, Jeremy (Kristen) Moore, Gabrielle Strickland (Tim) McFalls, Monica (Sidney) Moe, all of Chattanooga, Raymond Thomas of New York, Kendall Christopher, and Otis Christopher, III, both of Chattanooga, Jasmine Jarrett and Amaya Jarrett, both of Atlanta, GA; and many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service for Robin will be Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 12 noon in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Brother Phillip Henderson as the Eulogist.
