Robert Sims Truss Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Truss, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in a local hospital. He attended Russel Moton High School, class of 1956. Robert attended Monumental Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his dad, William L. Truss; mother, Mary Frances Truss; brothers, Charlie, Erenzo; sisters, Addie Ruth, Alma, Gwendolyn; wife, Rosa Lee. He leaves to cherish his memories is his sons, Robert Sims (Reneẻ) Truss, Jr. of Canton, MS, Tiberius (Guana) Truss, Dexter (Felicia) Truss both of Chattanooga; daughters, Angela (Troy) Sparks of Chattanooga and Shelia Truss of Calera, AL; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Truss of Ellenwood, GA and Rev. Sylvester Truss of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Debra (Bobby) Smith of Duluth, GA and Faye Dunklin of Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He will lie-in-state on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Sylvester Truss as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
