Robert Anthony Kirby, Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Anthony Kirby, Sr., 75, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in a local hospital. He was a 1967 graduate of Howard High School. Robert attended Chattanooga State Community College. He was formerly employed with Brach’s Candy Company. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Levi Kirby; mother, Erma Burrows; and grandmother, Viola Brown. Survivors include his son, Robert (Sherrie) Kirby, Jr.; daughters, Jennifer Kirby and Patrice McCaulley; grandchildren, Ashley Davenport, Brittany Kirby, Robert Kirby, III, Destiny Smith, JaTavious Davis, and Ryan Kirby; great-grandchildren, Keaton Smith, Mazii Bourgne, Sameyah Smith, Arriyah Smith, and JaNylah Smith, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Michael Kirby of Cincinnati, OH, Louis (Pam) Burrows of St. Louis, MO, and Marvin Burrows of Chickamauga, GA; sister, Deborah Ervin of Chickamauga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Clifton Waller giving words of comfort.
