Robert A. Grissom, Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Alex Grissom, Jr., 44, of Rossville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in a Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia hospital. He is a 1996 graduate of Hutchinson Central Technical High School. Robert furthered his education at Oakwood University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of New Life Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was a talented musician and played at different churches. He was Mayor Andy Berke’s social media director for the homeless taskforce initiative. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Ola Bea Jones; grandparents, Louise Neely, Obedia Jones, John Neely, and Cleophus Grissom; uncles, James Jones, Amir Allharke; aunts, Florence Grissom and Au Mentia Allharke. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Tenicha Grissom of Chattanooga; son, Ziare Grissom of Chattanooga; father, Robert Grissom, Sr of Buffalo, NY; grandfather, Floyd Grissom; brothers, Rodney Grissom of Shelton, CT and Alvin Rumph of Buffalo; sisters, Robin Grissom and Renee Shelton, both of Buffalo; aunt, Jessie McGee; cousins, Jalik Grissom, Tracy Grissom, Marquita (Charles) Williams, and Andre McGee; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Nathan D. Williams will be the eulogist.
