Reverend Billy Rogers Cotton's Obituary
Reverend Billy Rogers Cotton, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in a local hospital. He was a 1952 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He was the Associate Minister at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Billy was a member of a masonic lodge. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Millie Cotton; sisters, Johnnie Mae and Hazel. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jeanette Cotton; daughters, Joselyn Leslie of Atlanta, GA, Alice Jackson of Charleston, SC, Pamela (Tony) Morgan of Atlanta, Ann Lytle of Scottsboro, AL, and Denise Howard of Chattanooga; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gwendolyn (James) Hines; brother-in-law, Walter Howard; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Giovanno M. Jones will serve as the eulogist.
