Ralph A. Jarrett's Obituary
Ralph Adrian Jarrett, Sr. or “Rough House,” as he was lovingly referred to by friends and family, was born on February 15, 1959 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to James Ball and Delores Jarrett Crutcher. He was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1977. He retired from Presley Restaurant Equipment. He was a member of Greater Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ball and Delores (James) Crutcher; aunt, Barbara Ann McReynolds; uncles, Kay Farris, John Jarrett, and Frank Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett departed this earthly walk of life on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his residence. Among those he leaves to cherish his memories include four devoted daughters, Sykeña (Stephanie) Jarrett Knighten, Jennifer (Robert) Jarrett Choates, both of Cincinnati, OH, Dominique Jarrett, of Chattanooga, and Torey Jarrett, of Houston, TX; five devoted sons, Ralph Adrian Jarrett Jr., of Cincinnati, De’Adrian Jarrett, Jeffrey Spirey, Marlon Ralpheal Jarrett, and Jo Richardson Jarrett III, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Lorenzo “Rabbit” Jarrett, Kenneth “Lamar” Coker, Michael Gladden, and Lyonel Gladden, all of Chattanooga, and Gregory Jarrett, of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Trina Coker, Pamela Coker, Shannon Ball, Angela (Dallas) Deloach, LaDawn (Derrick) Yearby, all of Chattanooga; aunts, Claytena Gore, of Chattanooga, and Bernice Johnson, of New York City, NY; fourteen grandchildren; a host of loving nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; many, many friends. Mr. Jarrett will lie-in-state on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Alexander Bullard.
