Rakia Shana Smith-Watkins, 34, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at her Lithonia, Georgia residence. She attended Tyner High School where she was a cheerleader, on the Dance team, and a RAM Majorette. She graduated in 2005. Rakia then attended TSU University. She was employed by State Farm Insurance Company in Lithonia, Georgia. Rakia was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Janie Johnson; grandmother, Mary Ellen Greer; father, Frederick L. Smith; father-in-law, Maurice Chappell; brother, Jermichael Bowling; and daughter, Savannah Watkins. Survivors include her husband, Maurice Watkins; two children, Heaven Watkins and Havanna “TuTu” Watkins; biological mother, Linda Moore; mother, Vikki Smith; grandmother, Elizabeth Hayes; grandfather, Charlie Boston, Jr.; brothers, Torre Spears and Erick Montgomery; sisters, Tamara Foster and Reyna Smith; sister/cousin/friend, Candace Howard; grandmother-in-law, Constance Watkins; mother-in-law, Windy Watkins; a host of aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
