Porter Jay Roberts, III's Obituary
Porter Jay Roberts, III, 71, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his Calhoun, Georgia residence. He was a 1970 graduate of Riverside High School. Porter was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was formerly employed by Shell Oil. Porter was preceded in death by his father, Porter J. Roberts, Jr.; mother, Frankie M. Roberts; and brothers, Anthony J. Roberts. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lela Roberts; sons, Porter J. Roberts, IV and Andre Roberts, both of Chattanooga; daughters, LaMika D. Jordan of Chattanooga and CherLaura M. Roberts of Calhoun, GA; a host of grandchildren; sister, Bernice Ogans of Collegedale, TN; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Inurnment for Porter will be Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
