Paulette Ford's Obituary
Paulette "Pat" Ford was born June 10, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama (Jefferson County) to Mr. Ollie Jr. and Charlie Mae Ford. She accepted Christ at an early age. Paulette attended Riverside High School and graduated with the class of 1966. Thereafter she attended McKenzie College here in Chattanooga, Tennessee with Business as her major. After many years of dedicated service, she retired from Erlanger Hospital. On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Hospice Care Center, Paulette departed this life at the age of 77. What a wonderful 77 years of life she gave us.
Among those who preceded Paulette in death include her parents, Ollie Jr. and Charlie Mae Ford; grandparents, Ollie Sr. and Mattie Ford, and John and Josephine Humphrey; brother, James Bone; sister, Jacqueline Ford; nephews, Antonio Baldwin and Gregory Leverett Jr.; brother-in-law, Wallace Bush; her devoted sons’ father, Mr. Stanley Turner Sr.; aunt, Mattie Rhodes.
Cherishing her memories include her daughters, D’anda Ford of Atlanta, GA and Kenya King; son, Stanley (Ericka) Turner Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley Orr, Desmond (Chiquita) Ford, Mar’Quisha Yearby, Weldonisha Ford, and Gerald Patrick; special grandson, Jonathan Horton; great-grandchildren, Malique, Cor’jai, Reginae, Raile Jai, Apple, Halo, Mason, Celsei, Cace, Dekariya, Knowledge, Milan, Amiri, and Ethic; brother, Michael Ford Sr.; sisters, Linda (Jackie Sr.) Sawyer, Olivia Bush, and Alice (Ronnie) Nelson of Gulfport, MS; nephews, Darryl Putman, Eric Nelson of Gulfport, MS, Alfred Ford, Demetrick Kennebrew, Michael Ford Jr., and William Cotton; devoted nieces, LaRhondra Nelson of Marietta, GA and Deasia Kennebrew; nieces, Tonya Simpson, Tara Mitchell, Tameka Ford, Erica Kennebrew, Tamekia Beavers, and Lakesha Sherrell; aunts, Aunt Pearl (Chester), Louise, and Katherine; godsons, Cornell Mitchell and Antoine Kelly; special and devoted friends, Regina Hamilton, Edith McKibben, Pamela Shepherd, Dorthea Morris, Leroy Graham, Pam Jordan, Joan Owens, the late Sue Billingsly and the late Joyce Lightner.
Paulette will lie-in-state on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel.
