Paul J Allison's Obituary
Paul J. Allison, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, in the Hospice Care Center. He was born January 29, 1929, in Scottsboro, Alabama. He graduated from Howard High School. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. He worked as a laborer for 35-1/2 years at Mueller Company. He also worked 15 years at McDaniel Gulf Service Station. Paul worked from 1991 to January 2021 at Taylor Funeral Home. Paul accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized in 1958 under Brother L.M. Jones at East Third Street Church of Christ. He remained a faithful member there until the Lord called him home. He lived his life to the fullest every day; serving and doing whatever he could for the Lord. Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Katherine Allison; parents, Dora Gussie and Hubert Allison; brothers, Hubert Bibbs and Aubrey Allison; son-in-law, John Hayes; best friends, Oscar Stanley Kelley and Reverend A. J. Bullard. Paul leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his four devoted daughters, JoAnn Banahene of Chattanooga, Diana (Michael) Kellum of Murfreesboro, TN, Sonja Richards, and Cathy Hayes, both of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Michael Johnathan (Tikedra) Kellum, Demetric (Nikki) Banahene, Brittany Richards, Giyonna (Nathan) Cummings, Kelvin Hayes, and Dedric (Stacy) Hayes; great-granddaughters, Makenna Kellum, Makira Kellum, Kayla Hayes; great-grandsons, Kelsey Hayes and Kamal Hayes; nephew, William Campbell; niece, Gemetra Wicks; a host of other relatives and friends. Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. is the eulogist.
