Patricia Darrene Watson's Obituary
Patricia Darrene Kinamore Watson was born on November 5, 1943, to Albert and Hazel Kinamore, Sr. Her family affectionately called her Darrene.
Darrene attended Chattanooga Public Schools and graduated from The Howard High School. She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church. She was employed at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital as a nursing assistant.
Darrene was preceded in death by her husband, Otis H. Watson; parents, Albert and Hazel Kinamore, Sr.; sons, Darryl Meadows and Ladarius Watson; sisters, Jacqueline Asberry and Twilight Burney; and brothers, Harold Dudley and Albert Kinamore, Jr.
Darrene leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Lorenza Meadows of Fairburn, GA; daughters, Cassundra Payne and Tawanda Davis, both of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Kevelin (Vicky) Kinamore of Chattanooga, TN; daughter-in-law, Rachel Meadows; sister-n-law, Yvonne Kinamore, and brothers-in-law, Charlie Asberry and Joshua Burney, Jr., all of Chattanooga, TN; godson, Reginald (Holly) Jordan of Chattanooga, TN; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Darrene will lie-in-state on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 12:00 noon at New Covenant Fellowship Church located at 1326 North Moore Road, with Dr. Bernie Miller as Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
