Patricia Dupree's Obituary
Patricia Dupree, 77, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, in a Cleveland, Tennessee healthcare facility. She was born December 28, 1946, to parents Joe Green and Alice Smiley, in Town Creek, Alabama. Patricia was a graduate of Courtland High School, class of 1967. She attended college at Chattanooga State Technical Community College and graduated with her Associate’s degree. She was a member of New United Missionary Baptist Church where she participated in the “Reach Out and Touch” Ministry. Patricia’s favorite hobby was dancing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Smiley; Willie Smiley, Alex Smiley, Lerlene Santoyo, Curtis Whitfield, Willie Lee, Claudio Santoyo, and Vincent Fields. Survivors include her sons, Felix Lee of Chattanooga, and Reggie Lee of Atlanta, GA, daughter; Alice Lee of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Cierra Lawrence, Chris Lane, Xavier Williams, Neriah Lee, Maya Lee, Canan Lee, Zaia Lee, Malaya Henderson, Violet Williams, Tyasia Underwood, and Jonathan Lawrence; brother, Moe Whitfield of Summerville, GA; sister, Etta McAfee of Chattanooga; best friend, Lynn Ellen McMillian; good friend, Yvonne Tory; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends. Patricia will lie-in-state on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10 a.m. at New United Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Dr. Jeffrey T. Wilson as the eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
