Patricia Crawford's Obituary
Patricia “Pookie” Ann Crawford, 73, of Chattanooga, received her heavenly wings on Monday, May 15, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 18, 1949, in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia to the late John Thomas Crawford and Annie Mae Willis-Garrett. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Orchard Knob Baptist Church. She was one of God’s great intercessors and worshippers. Those who experienced her prayers felt the divine presence and love of God. One of her last wishes was for her family to pray together. Her worship and honor for God was infectious. She was a light to her family, and she will truly be missed. Patricia was a graduate of Riverside High School Class of 1967. She attended Chattanooga State Community College, where she discovered her passion for serving others. She worked at St. Barnabas Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was retired. Survivors include two children, Courtney Brown and Tori Brown, both of Chattanooga; two granddaughters, Courtney M. Brown and Alexus Brown; two great-grandchildren, Jaycee D. Brown and Nalani C. McClendon; one sister, Anne Morgan; one niece, Kellie Morgan; and one nephew, Kelvin Morgan; step-brothers and sisters; cousins; godchildren; and friends. Patricia will lie-in-state on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Nathan Williams as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
