Miss Pamela Rice's Obituary
Pamela Joyce Rice, 63, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in an Atlanta, Georgia hospital. She was a 1974 graduate of Kirkman Technical High School. She made a career in sales which included being the first black saleswoman selling commercials for Channel 12 in Chattanooga and WZRA Radio Station. She also sold cars at Don Ledford Pontiac and Buick in Cleveland, Tennessee. Pamela also formerly owned an office supply company called Scenic Office Supply.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Lollis; mother, Annie Rivers; father, John Henderson; and brother, Reece Henderson. Survivors include her ex-husband, Roosevelt Rice, Sr.; son, Roosevelt Rice, Jr. of Indiana; daughter, Tiffany Rice of South Carolina; granddaughter, Celeste Rice of Chattanooga; brothers, Oscar Page of Chattanooga and Abron Henderson of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Phyllis Allgood of Cleveland, TN and Tina Smith of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Alfred Johnson as the eulogist.
