Oscar Lee Jones, Jr., 43, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026. He was educated in the Chattanooga School System and was a 1999 graduate of Brainerd High School.
Oscar was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Lee Jones, Sr.; and son, Tavian Lee Jones. Survivors include his daughter, Jersey L. Jones of Kansas City, MO; mother, Jeanette Smith; brother, Curtis Maurice Jones; sisters, Keisha M. Jenkins, Christal N. Jones, and Kimberly Jones, all of Chattanooga; uncles, William (Cornellius) Smith of Florida, James Smith, Joe H. Smith, both of Chattanooga, Richard (Deronda) Smith of Memphis, TN, Frankie Smith and Robert (Gwen) Jones, both of Chattanooga; aunts, Mary (Joe) Prather, Janette Smith, Johnna Smith, Linda (Jimmy) Hall, all of Chattanooga, and Alice Graves of Columbia, KY; special friend, Amy Gamble of Cleveland, TN; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Oscar will lie-in-state on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service.
