Mr. Ocie L Jackson Jr's Obituary
Ocie Lee Jackson, Jr., 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Miracle Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board and the Finance Committee. He was a member of the Pilgrim Joy District where he served in the Layman’s Department and served also as Treasurer. Ocie retired from Wheland Foundry after 30 years of service. He later was employed as a school bus driver for the Hamilton County Department of Education. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Willett Diamond Jackson; his daughters, Inez (Reginald) Green of Chattanooga and Staci (Danny) Moss of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Arto (Vernetta) Jackson of Chattanooga, Amos Jackson, Otis Walker, Jessie (Frankie) Matthews, and Lemy Jackson, all of West Point, GA; sisters, Georgia Lovelace of Brooklyn, NY, Mary (Thelvie) Cullins of Dallas, TX, Dorothy Zackery, Rosie Moss, Patricia Robinson, Leola Jackson, and Tracy Jackson all of West Point, GA; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 12 noon at Miracle Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Jacks as the eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
