Nathaniel Lewis' Obituary
Nathaniel “Snook” Lewis, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born July 27, 1947, in Chattanooga to the late Hattie Lewis-Douglas. He served in the United States Marines and worked several years at Combustion Foundry. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his mother, Hattie L. Douglas; grandmother, Rose L. Poe; and brother, Robert “Bobby” Douglas. Those left to cherish his loving memories include his devoted caregivers/sisters, Ann Douglas-Ghiden of Chattanooga and Frances J. (Steve) Henderson of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Harold Bayless of Chattanooga and Ronald (Kennetta) Douglas of Upper Marlboro, MD; sons, Dedric D. Cameron of Chattanooga and Natrell (Sabrina) Lewis of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Sydelle K. Young of Chattanooga, Taleesa, Jeremiah, and Jaycie Lewis, Keyonna Suttles, Dewyn, and Mariah Tawney, all of Phoenix; devoted niece, Monyel Goines of Antioch, TN; loving nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Nathaniel will lie-in-state on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Brother Phillip Henderson as the eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
