Mrs. Minnie Lee Alexander's Obituary
Mrs. Minnie L. Bunch Alexander, 89, transitioned from this life on June 7, 2025, at a local memory care facility in Hixson, Tennessee.
Ms. Minnie Lee Bunch Alexander was born on March 24, 1936, to the late Nelson and Maie Etta Bunch of Brownsville Tennessee. Affectionately known as Ms. Minnie, she was an avid gardener…oh how she loved her garden…and she found great joy in tending to her beloved garden. She delighted in sharing the fruits of her labor with others, always generous with her harvest. A talented cook and a warm, giving soul, Ms. Minnie deeply loved her family and friends, and her kindness and hospitality touched the lives of all who knew her.
Ms. Minnie was raised in Brownsville Tennessee—a place she proudly called home.
She often shared heartfelt stories of her childhood there, growing up alongside her beloved siblings: her brother James Bunch and her sisters Lou Catherine Jones, Hilda Marie Ligon and Mamie Dell Bunch, who have since gone on to be with the Lord, reunited with their parents in heaven.
After graduating from Carver High School in 1954, Ms. Minnie made her home in Ogden, Utah, where she was married to the late Earnest Jackson Alexander. Together they built a life and raised three children: Terry Alexander (Nina), Gregory Alexander (Lana), and Teresa Alexander.
She relocated to Hixson Tennessee, twenty-two years ago, where she continued to cherish close relationships with her siblings. Over the years, she bid farewell to her brothers Wilbert Bunch and Nelson Bunch. She is lovingly survived by her brother Jimmie D Bunch (Betty) and sister Dorothy Tyus (John).
In addition to her children, Ms. Minnie leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her beloved grandchildren are Marquel Alexander, Malcolm Alexander, Avery Singleton, Milena Alexander (Cody), Sydney Alexander and Solomon Sephus. Each of them carries forward her memory with love and gratitude.
Minnie L Alexander will be missed by family, friends and her beloved Stoney Point Baptist Church Family.
Ms. Minnie's funeral arrangements will be handled by Rawls Funeral Home in Brownsville, Tennessee.
