This just breaks my heart! He had such a kind soul. Met him in junior high and he was such a respectable person even then. I hate this. Heaven will be a better place with this man up there.

I was so sorry to hear of Miguel's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul...never met a stranger. I pray God gives his family strength as they go through this difficult time. Khaleel, Tracy and I send our love to you.

There are no words to say how much you will be missed. You have touched the lives of so many boys on the football and baseball fields. You were a loyal and loving friend and happy til the very end. Your support and love for Trey was unbelievable. You will be missed. On behalf of all your baseball families. R.I.P. Miggy. Love DEE
You'll always be in my heart with so many great memories from middle to high school. Your finally resting with no more sickness nor pain, your family will be in my prayers. LLM c/o 2000
We loved Miguel and Trey from the first time we met them. My husband eventually called him our son. He kept an eye on my elderly mom who lived beside him. He was a gentle giant who loved God, his son, and all things “sports”. We will miss him and cherish the memories. RIP.

We remember very clearly the kindness and light that Miguel brought to our lives. We were there to care for him and somehow, he managed to care for us by showing the importance of love (for his son Trey and family), gratitude (for those offering even the smallest gesture), and hope (for every day to be a better day). You will always be remembered, Miguel and will hold a very special place in our hearts.
With love and thanks for your friendship,

I remember Miguel as if he was one of my own. He played baseball in middle and high school with my sons and played football with the other 2 sons. I was with him when he broke his leg playing middle school basketball with Ryne. I took him to Erlanger North in my explorer. He was so brave that day. I had the pleasure of meeting his grandparents who were delightful. Mike worked different shifts so a lot of times l was responsible for getting him home. One memory is stopping by the Central Park in Red Bank to get him 2 big bubbba burgers with fries. That usually happened when we won the game. Miguel was our power hitter and first baseman. When he was on he was on! He was a true friend to my family and l always knew my boys were safe when Miguel was with them. He had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile. Always upbeat. My sympathy to the family and friends.
