Mr. Michael Wirt Toney's Obituary
Michael Wirt Toney, 61, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended Howard High School. He was a member of Greater Community Church of Chattanooga C.O.G.I.C. Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Toney; and father, Wirt Toney. Survivors include his daughters, Angela (Adam) Sanford and Janice (Nate) Brunson; grandchildren, Aniyah Dortch and Yanicia Taylor; mother, Shirley Ann Wilson; brothers, Marvin Toney, Frederick (Brenda) Toney, Randy (Linda) Toney, and Ernest (Mary) Love, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Anna Toney White of Chattanooga and Renee Ramey of Clarksville, TN; devoted sister-in-law, Shirley Toney; uncle, Roosevelt Toney, both of Chattanooga; aunts, Gloria Toney of Chattanooga, Ernestine Toney of Huntsville, AL, and Lorine Parker of Akron, OH; special friends, Buel Walker and Lucille Coleman; a host of nephews, nieces; other relatives and friends. Pastor J. Anthony Taylor, II will serve as the eulogist.
