Michael Cornell Jefferson was born February 10, 1987, and passed away February 2, 2026. Michael was born to Annette Nicholson and Bobby Jefferson at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Michael was a bright energetic child, lovable and mischievous. He was a joy and a pain at the same time. Michael would always do things without thinking about the consequences.
Michael attended Unveiled Truth Church as a young man. Life got in the way, and he got lost for a while but will always remember that sneaky grin and mischievous smile. Gone but never forgotten.
Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Phyllis Nicholson; paternal grandmother, Dorethea Jones; maternal uncles, Jame and Willie Nicholson; maternal aunts, Janet Mickens, Loretta Beamon, and Starlett Nicholson.
Michael is survived by his parents, Annette Nicholson and Bobby Jefferson; maternal brother, Alonzo Franklin Jr., sisters, Karen Jefferson, Dominique White, LaTisha Franklin, and Chelsea Franklin; paternal sisters, Keira Hill, Destinee Jefferson and Inari Jefferson.
Michael will lie-in-state on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service.
