Michael Tyrone Bell, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, in a local hospital. He was born on June 2, 1961, to James and Olivia Bell in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Michael was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System. He was formerly employed by U.S. Stove. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, James and Olivia Bell; grandparents, Tommie and Vennie Mae Jones and Clint and Mattie Bell; and sister, Christine Jones. Survivors include her children, Michael Ford and Jasmine Ford; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Melvin Jones, Ernestine Jones, Lester (Vette) Jones, Travis (Brenda) Bell, and Anthony (Pamela) Jones; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Michael will lie-in-state on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the chapel.
