Ms. Melgie never met a stranger. Everytime I saw her from many years ago, she was always encouraging. I pray that 🙏🙏🙏 God will grant the entire family and many friends peace that surpasses all understanding ; as we celebrate her life. Elder Henrietta Erskine,Olivet Baptist Church 💜💛.
Melgie was one of the most genuine souls you would have ever known. Met her when I was 16 years old working at the Red Food Store, she took all of us under her wing as her children, or her posse as she called us. She will be missed beyond words. She was dearly loved.
I will miss Sister Melgie, she was a very kind and loving lady. I am so grateful to have known such a talented person. She was the writer and director of the play , Step Back Alabama. Gone from this earth, but never from my heart. The Shropshire and Bell Family. We love you Sister Melgie.
