Mary Lue Knowles' Obituary
Mary Lue Knowles, 89, of Chickamauga, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family members. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee March 2,1931. She was employed by Walker County Training Center. She retired as a contract processing supervisor. Mary was a member of East 3rd Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Hardy T. Knowles; parents, Lee and Wille Mae Dozier, oldest son, Paul “Skippy” Knowles along with 9 brothers and 6 sisters. Her younger brother, Clifford (Genell) Dozier is her last surviving sibling. Along with her husband, they raised 6 children, Paul “Skippy” Knowles, Patricia Williams, Jerrel Knowles, Reaver Knowles Barrett, Thomas “Tommy” Knowles, Sherry Knowles- (Francesco) Pizzuto. She left behind beloved grandchildren, Dacia (Alex) Neumann, Cornell Knowles, Carmen Barrett, Tessie Mae Jones, Brooke Thomas, and Vanessa Allen; great grandchildren, Austin Barrett, Trai Ford, Mark Bryant, Karma Chappelle, Noah and Bella Pizzuto, Keegan and Kameron Chandler, and Samuel Baluja; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Trimble, Jerrel Dean Knowles, Gloria Dozier, Johnette Dozier and special nieces, Lillie (Earnest) Miller and Florence Jones; nieces, nephews; a host of other friends and relatives.
