Mary Lue Curtis' Obituary
Mary Lue Curtis, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, in a local hospital. She was a member of Thankful Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother Board. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James William Curtis, Sr.; father, Henry Foster; mother, Mary Foster; daughter, Vernia Ray; sisters, Shirley Hampton and Betty Hampton; brothers, Aaron Foster, Jack Foster, and James Foster. Survivors include her sons, Nathaniel Ray, Calvin (Mary) Ray, and Ernest (Sharon) Ray; daughters, Ann (Larry) Gilbert, Loria Ray Hall (Gardell), Patricia (Leroy) Garner, LaRhonda (Rodney) Boston, and Janice Harris; 46 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; sister, Rosie (Napoleon) Murphy; sisters-in-law, Maedell Foster and Lesie Mae Foster; special friend, Jean Morris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Pastor Mark Woods is the eulogist.
