Marvin Vinson Lee, Jr.'s Obituary
Marvin Vinson Lee, Jr. was born January 16, 1994, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the proud parents of Marvin Vinson Lee, Sr. and Lytildia Joyce Foster. At age 9, Marvin was baptized and joined Orchard Park Seventh day Adventist Church. While growing up, Marvin attended Orchard Park Church with his mother and his loving and caring aunt, Cathy. Marvin attended Avondale SDA school from kindergarten through 8th grade. From there, he attended Collegedale Academy and Standifer Gap SDA school. Marvin relocated to Valley Grande, Alabama. There he lived with his supporting aunt, Melissa, and uncle, Edwin Moore, and their children. Marvin graduated from Dallas County High School in Plantarsville, Alabama. After graduating, Marvin returned to Chattanooga and attended the Technical Division for Industrial Electrician at Chattanooga State Community College. Marvin enjoyed listening to music, playing chess, reading and exploring nature. He was also a Math Whiz. Marvin leaves to cherish his memories are his parents, Marvin Lee, Sr. and Lytilda, both of Chattanooga TN; Loving and supportive Grandfather, Ted Lee of Chattanooga, TN; grandmother, Odessa Flanigan of Augusta, GA; brother, Marcus Corbin of Chattanooga; sister Latoya Jones of Seattle, Washington; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will lie-in-state on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Minister Vickie McGoy as the eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
