Marvin Goodman's Obituary
Marvin “Smitty” Goodman, 54, formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at his Buffalo, New York residence. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 27, 1968. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Smith, Jr. and Shelly Goodman; grandparents, Marvin Smith, Sr. and Lovenia Stovall; and nephew, Jaelen Yearby. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Vickeauria Goodman of Chattanooga, Kiomii RaShawn Goodman of Calhoun, GA, Roddrick Goodman of Cincinnati, OH, Tajarah Goodman of Fort Worth, TX, and Marley Morgan of Chattanooga; stepson, Rickey "Nike" Chapman; granddaughter, Ember Goodman of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Dolline (Michael) Blassingame, Marva Goodman, and Pamela Bone, all of Chattanooga; brother, James Ballard of Chattanooga; aunts, Betty Joyce Burney, Mary Moore, and Lillie (Craig) Walker, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Marvin will lie-in-state on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Letecia Ellis as the eulogist.
