Martha Jean Bailey's Obituary
Martha Jean Bailey, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at her residence. She was a 1953 graduate of Howard High School, received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from UTC, and her Master’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene College. She was an educator in the Chattanooga City Schools. Martha was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostolic Faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Warner Fedrick; and mother, Icie (Luscious) Pickens. Survivors include her sons, Travis L. Reed and Willie Oliver Bailey, Jr.; daughters, Vicki R. Moore and Virgil A. (John) Bowens, all of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rena Mae Pickens of Indianapolis, IN; several other relatives and friends.
