Marquise D'Wayne Jones' Obituary
Marquise D’Wayne Jones, 28, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was born August 7, 1996, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to parents, Derrick D. Douglas and Denise Jones-White. He graduated from East Ridge High School in 2014 and was a member of Rock Island Baptist Church.
Among those who preceded Marquise in death include his great-grandfather, Paul R. Jones, Sr.; great-grandmothers, Estella C. Moore and Annie Mae White; and cousins’ Adriana Johnson and Denise Bramlett.
Survivors include his children, Alaiya Sanchez, Taylin Jones, Ariana Jones, and Kailan Jones; father, Derrick Douglas, Sr.; mother, Denise Jones-White; stepfather, Delandus White; girlfriend, Caitlyn Reynolds; grandmother, Audrey White; brothers, Delandus White, Kevin Avian Mahone, and Darius Douglas; sisters, Brenesha Jenkins, Dearra White, and Allysha White; uncles, James Johnson, Adarius Johnson, and Demonte Cross; aunts, Andrea Johnson, LeAndrea Johnson, Caprice Johnson, and Miracle McClemore, all of Chattanooga; a host of other siblings; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Marquise will lie-in-state on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with a time of remembrance at 4 p.m.
