SHE WOULD ALWAYS ENCOURAGE ME TO "KEEP PREACHING AND WATCH MY SURROUNDINGS." SO MUCH I LEARNED FROM CARRYING ON CONVERSATIONS WITH HER. SHE WILL BE MISSED. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Granny/Mrs Marion I use to love to stop by and do a surprise stop and when I did she use to tell me.come back next week I got something for you,that love bread.she use to tell me,you don’t make this or give it to anybody if you don’t love them.it took days to make and she put a lot of love in it.I’m gone miss you and definitely that love bread and the meaning of it.take your rest love you
Mrs. Moon was the terrific woman. I had just graduated from high school when I started working at Red Food Store (telling my age). Mrs. Moon trained me and wouldn't let anyone try to run me over. I remember her telling, "Listen baby, some of these people coming in her will try to get over on your because you new but don't worry, I know everybody that comes in here and I will keep a watch over you." She did just that. I went from being cashier to cashing checks to shift leader. It was all because someone like Mrs. Moon took the TIME to put me under her wing. I saw her years later and told her who I was and we just hugged. I thanked her right then for making such an impact on my life at a young age.

My husband and me use to go visit Mrs Moon while she was in her apartment when she got sick we couldn’t find out where she was living and covid hit so we didn’t go for a good while I didn’t know her phone number I am so sorry for her passing and we didn ‘t get a chance to see her I talked to her grand daughter to day and told her how sorry we were about her grand mother passing and I will try to stay in touch with her Gregory and Diana Williams
