Mario Dejuan Beaman's Obituary
Mario Dejuan Beaman, 51, formerly of Chattanooga, transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Monday, October 23, 2023, in a Scottsboro, Alabama hospital. Mario was born July 31, 1972, to Thera Beaman and Lebrone Flippin. He was a graduate of Brainerd High School (BHS) Class of 1991. Mario excelled in basketball under the leadership of Coach Robert High. Some of his accomplishments during 1988-1991 are: Honorable Mention All City, Chattanooga Times 1989; Honorable Mention All City, Second Team All City Chattanooga Times 1990; Second Team All City Chattanooga Times 1991; Second Team All City Chattanooga News Free Press 1991; Named Team Captain 1990-1991; Named Team Captain 1990-1991; Names Team’s Best All Around Forward 1991; Received Teams Leadership Award 1991; Attended Three Rivers Community College 1991-1992 winning the National Championship; Attended Motlow State Community College 1992-1993. Mario was formerly employed at Haymon Home in Powell, Fyffe, Alabama. He was known for his big heart, loving and compassionate spirit. He loved to cook and travel. Most of all, he enjoyed being around family and friends, and creating an atmosphere fun. Mario was preceded in death by his father, Lebron Flippin; grandparents, Albert Leon Beaman, Sr. and Barbara Ann Beaman; brother, Steven Flippin; and uncle, Albert Beaman, Jr. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his daughter, Keonna Beaman; mother, Thera Beaman, both of Chattanooga; brother, Kevin (Penny) Word of Nashville, TN; uncles, Larry Beaman, Ronald Lightner, and Alexander Studdard, all of Chattanooga; aunts, Julia Beaman, Teresa Studdard, both of Chattanooga, Ann (Lester) Amos of Atlanta, GA, and Eletha Studdard of Littleton, OH; cousins, Arnesha Berry of Chattanooga and Rashard Berry of Dalton, GA; a host of other family relatives; devoted and faithful friends, Mona Allen, childhood friends, LaTrell Russell, James Beamon; special friend, Deundra Jones and many other friends. Mario will lie-in-state on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor John Geter officiating and Pastor Ricky Beaman as the eulogist.
