Marilyn's passing truly saddens our hearts. And while we know that she is resting happily and peacefully in the arms of Jesus, we will still miss her and grieve for her presence. Our sincere condolences and prayers are with your family during this time of sorrow. Love, Tommie & Veronica Lockhart
I remember Mrs Batts from coming to Alabama A&M to see Tracy, she always had a big smile, warm heart, and very caring. She made you feel like part of her family. My deepest condolences to the Batts family from myself and my family. My God continue to bless and keep you. Keeping you uplifted in prayer. I Love you....Kimberly Grimsley
As a child I lived around the corner from the Powers family. One day I was visiting and we were sitting on the curb. All of a sudden I was covered in ants. Marilyn knew just what do. Little did I know that one day she would be my sister-in-law. I will miss our long talks and our shared " Sisters Meals". I loved Marilyn very much. She will live on in my heart. Willard and I will be here for you in whatever way you stand in the need of. Love you!!!
Mama Betts was truly a wonderful lady that loved her family. Even holding a special place in her heart for me as I did too since meeting her back in my college days with Tracy. Mama Betts, you will truly be miss. Betts/Power family please know that you all are in my prayers. Sending much Love & Hugs your way.

Terry, Tia, Tera, & Tianna, Our hearts were broken by the shocking news of "Mamaw Batts". We LOVED that Lady. She was very Unique and One of a Kind. She Loved her Family. She was so Proud of her 4 Granddaughters. We enjoyed visiting with her at Tianna's Softball Games. She LOVED her Church, which she spoke of often.
Tracy, she spoke Good Things about you and loved to go to Ga. to watch Nia and Nadia participate in Sports. If she missed a softball game, she was in Ga watching your girls. She had nothing but Good Things to say about her Granddaughters. They were VERY Close to her heart. We KNOW she will be missed by many people including us, but ALL who knew her have OUR GOOD MEMORIES OF HER which will forever be in our hearts. You are ALL in our prayers. We LOVE ALL of YOU.
