Margie Farmer's Obituary
Margie Helen Farmer, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 in the Hospice Care Center. She received her associate degree in Early Childhood Development from Chattanooga State College. She was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served on Sunday School and S.H.O.P. Committee. Margie was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Douglas; brothers, Robert Brown, Jr., Larry Brown, and Charles Douglas; and sister Barbara Hill. Survivors include her sons, Dr. Elliott Farmer, Sr. of Atlanta, GA and LaMar (Tami) Farmer of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren; brother, John Douglas, Jr. of Mississippi; sisters, Patricia “Diane” Farmer of Chattanooga, Margaret Burnett of Atlanta, Brenda Douglas of Roanoke, VA, and Lisa Douglas of Atlanta; an uncle; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Glenn Taylor is the eulogist.
