Margaret White's Obituary
Margaret Nell White, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at her son’s residence in Chickamauga, Georgia. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.
Born on December 23, 1940, to the late Ernestine Mallory and Willie Lidge, Margaret grew up with a strong sense of faith, family, and compassion that guided her throughout her life. She was a proud graduate of Howard School and dedicated many years of service to her community through her work at Holiday Inn and Northgate Mall, where she was known for her warm smile and kind spirit.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Hillard White; her sisters, May Jo Lidge and Ruth Holliman; her brother, Earnest (Inez) Mallory; and nephew, Claude Lidge.
She was a woman of deep love and devotion, especially to her family. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory: her loving sons, Hillard White of Chickamauga, GA, Garrick (Jainda) White of Atlanta, GA, and Corey (Falicia) Bauldwin of Chickamauga, GA; her treasured grandchildren, Haleigh (Chris) Morgan and Caiden Bauldwin; nieces, Cheryl Lidge and Ruby Jean White; nephews, Anthony Lidge, all of Buffalo, NY and Cleveland Burgess of Springfield, MA; a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Margaret found great joy in spending time with her dear friends Katy Hamby and Jacqueline Long Clemons, and in her love gospel music. Her faith and devotion to the Lord shone brightly in all she did. Her gentle heart, warm laughter and steadfast kindness will forever live on in the hearts of all knew her.
