Margaret Virginia Pope's Obituary
Margaret Virginia Pope, 42, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday August 11, 2021 in a local hospital. She was a 1996 graduate of Hixson High School and received her Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Walden University June 2014. Margaret was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Milton Pope; and grandmother, Margaret Virginia Pope. Survivors include her life partner, Kevin Word; mother, Connie Whitehead; grandmother, Laura Toney; brothers, Fredrick (Elizabeth) Pope and Jeffery Bone, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Cheryl Hicks (Patrick McGee), Starlet Bone, both of Chattanooga, and Christina Blackmon of Nashville, TN; uncle, Malcolm (Lori Jean) Searcy of Florida; aunts, Annie (Bennie) Watts of Macon, GA, LaVerne Hicks, Cynthia Henderson, Gwen Hill, and Cheryl (Rickey) Johnson, all of Chattanooga; nieces, Jade Hardaway, Stella Pope, and Mona Pope; nephews, Malcolm Bone, Michael Bone, Matthew Bone, Jamel Hicks, and Jaylon O’Neal; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends.
