Marcus Wayne Lee's Obituary
Marcus Wayne “Pete” Lee, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in a local hospital. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and united with Prospect Baptist Church. He attended church faithfully with his father and brother. Marcus was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System. He attended Eastdale and Woodmore Elementary, Dalewood Jr. High, and Brainerd High School. After high school, Marcus served our country in the National Guard. After completing his duties, he relocated to Augusta, Georgia where he was employed by Maynard Sheet Rock as a forklift driver. He returned to Chattanooga and worked as a repairman. Marcus was often called ‘jack of all trades’ because of his ability to repair just about anything that needed fixing. He helped many people in his community and family. Marcus was very clever, resourceful, and quick witted. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking delicious meals, watching movies especially Kung Fu films, and tinkering with different mechanisms. Marcus could work a Rubik’s Cube in less than 2 minutes. Survivors include his loving and devoted father, Ted Lee of Chattanooga; mother, Odessa Flanigan of Augusta, GA; brothers, Marvin Lee, Michael (Phillis) Flanigan, both of Chattanooga, Dammeon (Quatisha) Carter of Augusta, and Sean (Kimberly) Flanigan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Erika Lee (John) Kilgore and India Lee, both of Chattanooga; special friends, Victoria Robinson, Theodore “Quack” Lindsey, and John Kilgore; a host of uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Minister Vickie McGoy will be the eulogist.
