Marcelle Ann Caldwell's Obituary
Marcelle Ann Caldwell, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in a local hospital. She was born on March 17, 1960, in Clevland, Ohio. Marcelle was affectionately known as “Marci” and “Cell” by her family and friends. She was a graduate of Glenville High School and graduated from Chattanooga State Cosmetology Department. She was formerly employed by Cigna as a licensed Cosmetologist. Marcelle was a member of Pneuma Christian Center, where she was a member of the Season Saints, a Greeter, and a Choir Member. Marcelle was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Andre Caldwell; grandfather, Savage Nettles, Sr.; grandmothers, Annie Lee Howard and Marcelle Nettles; and father, Savage Nettles, Jr. Survivors include her mother, Joan Edwards of Cleveland, OH; brothers, Stefron T. Saunders of Las Vegas, NV and Michael G. Saunders of Germantown, MD; sisters, Michelle (Jimmie) Ingram, Irene Holimon, and Vanessa (Roderick) Johnson, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Mable McQueen of Los Angeles, CA; mother-in-law, Nancy Caldwell of Galveston, TX; dear family friends, Pamela (Kevin) Baker, Valerie Smith, and Delores Aguilar; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Marcelle will lie-in-state on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Pneuma Christian Center with Dr. R. J. McCowan as the eulogist.
