Malik D. Norwood's Obituary
Malik Draz Norwood, 27, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was a 2014 graduate of General Assembly Academy C.H.O.I.C.E. Home School. Malik was a member of Avondale SDA Church. He was also a member of Independent Rider. Malik was the owner of Handy Man Can Do. He was also a mechanic and horse trainer. Malik was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katie Norwood, Alton Norwood, Callie Kyle, and Bo Vonner; aunts, Corliss Norwood Battle and Trinia Vonner; uncles, William Vonner and Juvie Vonner; cousin, Lamont Norwood. Survivors include his sons, Dash Norwood and Sir Malik Draz Norwood; daughters, Ma’Kaela Norwood and Goddess Norwood, all of Chattanooga; fathers, Terry Vonner of Knoxville, TN and Eugene Culver, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA; mother, Karen Norwood Culver of Chattanooga; brother, Eugene Culver, III of Milledgeville; sisters, Miss Culver of Milledgeville and Nefertia Norwood of Chattanooga; uncles, Gregory Norwood of Nashville, Reginald Norwood of Chattanooga, Victor Norwood of Wiesbaden, Germany, and David Vonner of Knoxville; aunts, Cassandral Norwood of Nashville, Gail Ervin, Vickie Norwood, Sonia Norwood Thornton, Peggy Norwood, all of Chattanooga, Tina Vonner, Darlene Howell, Claudine Ray, all of Knoxville, Angie Vonner of Dallas, TX, and Delores Smith of Knoxville; a host of nieces; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Malik will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home.
