Master Malaki Saeed Ward's Obituary
Malaki Saeed Ward, 9, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He was a Star Roll student at Orchard Knob Elementary. He was a tutor at Bayberry Community Center and volunteered in the office. Malaki was in Junior Achievement and Chattanooga Sports Ministries. He attended New City Fellowship and was in the Glad Program and Good News Club. Malaki worked at Sunset Barbeque. He was preceded in death by his great-great-grandmother, Alberta Townsend; great-grandmother, Henrietta Ward; great-uncle, Bennie Ward, Jr. Survivors include his mother, Tiara Ward of Chattanooga; father, Saeed Basim of Cleveland, OH and Juma Moore of Chattanooga; grandparents, Cynthia Ward of Chattanooga, Deborah Basim of Cleveland, Sara Anderson of Chattanooga, Bennie (Sandra) Ward of Chattanooga, and Ervin Rainey of Chattanooga, brothers, LaJeromeny Brown, Jr. of NY, Jumir Moore, Princeton Ward, Josiyah Jamal Wells, all of Chattanooga, and Myles Robinson of Banning, CA; sisters, Brooklyn Ja’Shay Mason, Sade Hart, Saiyah Marie Washington, all of Cleveland, OH, and Malana Robinson of Banning, CA; uncles, Bronathon (Samantha) Carter, Sr. of Chattanooga and Danny (Roz) Ward, of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Veronica (Duane) Sanders, LaShaunda (RaShek) Herring, Hazann Burney, Danielle Lloyd, Brittany Blackwell, all of Chattanooga, and Quiana Watts of Banning, CA; special cousins, Domineke Vick, Aysia Tolliver, Bronathon Carter, Jr., and Jamilius Thomas; a host of other relatives and friends. Minister Maurlyn Thompson will serve as the eulogist.
