Ma'rico Lamecus Johnson's Obituary
Ma’rico Lamecus Johnson,18, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 13, 2025. He was being educated by the Chattanooga Public Schools and was attending Brainerd High with anticipation of graduating in May with his 2025 Class. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Viel Johnson. Survivors include his father, William Johnson, Sr.; mother, Larnetta Hawthorne both of Chattanooga; brothers, Malik Suttles, Zemetrik Ellison, William Johnson Jr., LaDarrius Poe, Jaylen Johnson, Jai’dyn Poe, and Honor Robinson, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Ma’nyah Paris, Taylor Johnson, Jayda Johnson, and Sade Brown, all of Chattanooga; great-grandmother, Johnnie Ruth Harmon; uncles, Daniel (Dewana) Johnson of Chattanooga and Joseph Johnson of Atlanta, GA; aunt, Veronica Viel of Atlanta; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ma’rico will lie-in-state on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Scottie Cousins as the Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
