Lynda Braswell's Obituary
Lynda Joyce Braswell was born on July 25, 1970 to the late Mary Davis Jackson and father Roger Gaddison in Blowing Springs, GA. Lynda was called home after a long battle with cancer on April 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Lynda was a member of Christ Community Church where the late Mark Garrett was pastor. Lynda was very passionate about serving and worshipping the Lord. Lynda was employed at Gestamp Plant before her illness. She graduated from Kirkman Tech High School in 1987. In 1991, Lynda joined the job corporation and moved to Atlanta, GA. Lynda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Davis Jackson; husband, Darren Braswell. Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Dominique Braswell, of Atlanta, and William Woods, of Chattanooga; daughters, Diamonique La’Shay Braswell, of Atlanta, and Kaiyah McShan, of Chattanooga; one grandchild, Kylie La’Shay, of Summerville, GA; godmother, Linda Crawford, of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Betty Ann Braswell, of Atlanta; sisters, Willie B (James) Fannin, of Ringgold, GA, Sherry Beach, of Atlanta, and Tracy (Jeffery) Harris, of Rossville, GA; brother, Kevin Turnbow, of Chattanooga; aunts, Linda Crawford and Sarah Carson, both of Chattanooga; uncle, Terry (Natasha) Davis, of Atlanta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Lynda will lie-in-state on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
